St. Charles Lwanga City Parish is strategically located in the heart of Fort Portal Tourism City. The development of the city will automatically have impact on the population that attend church at the parish. This is a great potential for growth when a number of Christians are able to participate and/or contribute towards the economic development
of the parish. A number of projects have been run through the contributions by Christians through basket collections.
It is fundamental at this time that the parish desires and/or has started initiating projects that will ensure economic sustainability of the parish. It is against this background that the parish has been able to initiate some project that will assist in the economic development of the parish. So far, the parish has started a poultry project, banana
plantation project and housing and/or real estate project which needs to be put to another level by erecting apartments for rent and/or other real Estates project. The parish administration still envisions to seek other viable social and economic services that can be extended to Christians whose population is increasing. The population increase determines the growth in the economic development at its stages.
